The Walking Dead: Carol Looks Set To Appear In Daryl Spin-Off

Melissa McBride looks set to return to the world of The Walking Dead, having previously ruled out her involvement in the upcoming Daryl Dixon spin-off, as reported by FlickLuster last April. “Relocating to Europe became logistically untenable for Melissa at this time. We know fans will be disappointed by this news, but The Walking Dead Universe continues to grow and expand in interesting ways and we very much hope to see Carol again in the near future,” an AMC spokesperson announced at the time.

In a tweet from co-star Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who’ll be reprising his role as Negan in the forthcoming Manhattan side story, the actor revealed an image of McBride alongside Reedus, who plays Daryl (courtesy of a report from GamesRadar).

“Well well. We’re sorry Norman… fer talking oodles of shit to you when we thought melissa wasn’t doing show,” Morgan captioned the post. “Golly… this must of been in the works for ages! (Twas from start) Goddamn it’s great seeing these two together! Can’t wait! Xojd”

At this stage, the context of McBride’s involvement is unclear, but it would make sense her scenes serve as flashbacks to a larger story since Daryl’s spin-off takes the mainstay character to Paris.

Daryl’s story, which’ll further star Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Romain Levi, Laika Blanc Francard and Louis Puech Scigliuzzi brings the archer “across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. As he makes the journey, though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.”

AMC further unveiled a first look at the spin-off, with Daryl lying unconscious atop an upturned rowboat, seen below.
