The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Begins Filming On Season 3

The third season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is officially green-lit, with Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride sharing behind-the-scenes footage on location in Madrid. The spin-off was renewed for a third chapter during the San Diego Comic-Con panel in July.

The spin-off, one of multiple shows to emerge following the conclusion of the parent series in 2022, is expected to arrive in 2025. In a clip shared to social media, Reedus said he and his co-star were “so happy to be shooting season 3 here in beautiful Spain” and referred to the fans as their “amigos.”

Dan Mcdermott, the President of Entertainment and AMC Studios announced in a statement that the company were “proud of these shows and incredibly grateful for the way this new chapter in The Walking Dead Universe has been embraced by the fans.”

“Sending Daryl, and then Carol, to France was such an inspired and visually striking move for this franchise, a chance to do something truly different. We can’t wait to continue the travels of this iconic duo with a third season produced and set in Spain, another beautiful country with a passionate TWD fanbase that is already buzzing with anticipation.”

Reedus, 55, shared a message following the Comic-Con panel. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to announce a third season and to be working side by side with the brilliant Melissa McBride.”

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol is scheduled to premiere on AMC and AMC+ from September 29 on Sky Max and NOW. You can watch the Season 2 trailer below, featuring glow-in-the-dark walkers, more explosive action, and a neat way to kill the undead with plane propellers.
