Paramount Plus Reveal Movie Release Plan For 2021

Paramount Plus has announced its upcoming movie release plan. The catalog includes the long-anticipated A Quiet Place 2Mission Impossible 7, and Creed 3.

As reported by Variety, these will all stream on Paramount Plus exactly 45 days after their respective theatrical release. Before the pandemic, a 90-day window was mandatory from a film’s theatrical premiere to a home release.

Paramount Plus will be streaming the rebooted Paranormal Activity, as well as a Pet Sematary origin story based on Stephen King’s 1983 novel. These two films are being produced for the platform. MGM films will be streamed on Paramount Plus too, including the long-awaited No Time To Die. The Paranormal Activity reboot is expected to release on March 4, 2022.

Paramount Plus will be launching in the US from March 4, and the service will be available at two different price tiers. At $4.99 a month, an ad-support version will include all Paramount movies and Paramount Plus originals, while a premium edition, for $9.99 a month, offers live sports, news, and TV.

Other films on Paramount’s 2021 domestic theatrical slate include Infinite (May 28), Top Gun: Maverick (July 2), Paw Patrol (Aug 20), Jackass 4 (Aug 20), Snake Eyes (Oct 22), and Clifford the Big Red Dog on November 5.

Mission: Impossible 7 is due to release on November 19, 2021, and will star Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Henry Czerny, Esai Morales, Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, and Shea Whigham.

Daniel Craig’s final outing as Bond in No Time To Die, following three delays, is due for release in April 2021, starring Daniel Craig, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, and Ana De Armas. Cary Joji Fukunaga is the director, also known for his work in HBO’s critically acclaimed anthology series, True Detective.

The world premiere of A Quiet Place 2 debuted in New York City last March, with the film due for theatrical release on September 17, 2021, following a series of delays.
