Where Does Gen V Fit Into The Boys’ Universe?

It’s all about the timelines these days. As a television series branches off into spin-offs and prequels, an inevitable franchise eventually grows, and timelines can be confusing. Gen V, the second superhero satire to manifest from the diabolical world of The Boys, is arriving later this month, and audiences want to know where the series fits in. We have the answers, so let’s discuss.

As shared via The Boys official Twitter account, Gen V, set in Godolkin University, a campus for the next generation of superheroes, takes place after the events of The Boys Season 3 but before the start of Season 4, which has yet to air on Prime Video.

As the post below confirms, the newest students accepted into Godolkin University would have witnessed Homelander killing a protestor outside Vought Tower, followed by “the sound of thunderous applause” from loyalists.

Several characters from The Boys will cross over to Gen V for guest cameos, including speedster A-Train (Jessie T. Usher) and Ashley Barrett (Colby Minifie), a top exec at Vought. Most notably, Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) will be popping by (forgive the exploding head pun, but it was waiting to be said).

Will she render some poor students headless with her mind powers?, since the villain, revealed in The Boys Season 2, had little sway over the events of Season 3. We know university can be a headache, but if Victoria Neuman is involved…

Sorry, that’s the last head pun.

Gen V stars Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas, and Marco Pigossi. Guest stars include Clancy Brown, Jason Ritter, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and P.J. Byrne, who reprises his role from The Boys

Episodes 1-3 of Gen V debut on September 29, before the final five air weekly until November 3.
