The Boys Season 4: Simon Pegg Returns With New Cast Members

Simon Pegg will be reprising his role as Hughie Sr. in The Boys Season 4, and the upcoming season of the superhero drama will expand on the Campbell family with the introduction of Rosemarie DeWitt in the role of Hughie’s mum, a character unseen in the series until now.

Pegg made a fleeting cameo in the premiere episode of Season 3 and was absent for the entirety of Season 2 after holding a recurring guest spot in Season 1. Pegg’s other work includes stints in Doctor Who, Spaced, and films including Hot Fuzz, Star Trek, and the Mission Impossible series.

DeWitt is best known for her role in The Staircase alongside Colin Firth. Rob Benedict, of Supernatural fame, and Elliot Knight (who provided voice and motion capture as Kyle ‘Gaz’ Garrick in the rebooted Modern Warfare series, flesh out an already extensive cast, thanks to a report from Deadline. The details surrounding Knight and Benedict’s characters remain under wraps, but we’ll update you once we know more.

The Boys Season 4, cast-wise, is shaping up nicely after Valorie Curry and Susan Hayward joined the cast back in the summer. Soon after, The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan, featured in a brand-new trailer for the upcoming Dead City spin-off, joined the superhero series in an unspecified guest role.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Kapon, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jensen Ackles, Karen Fukuhara, Dominique McElligott, Simon Pegg, Chace Crawford, Jesse Usher, Colby Minifie, and Giancarlo Esposito. All three seasons are available to watch now on Amazon Prime.
