Spider-Man: No Way Home Re-Release Coming September 2

Marvel has confirmed via Twitter that Spider-Man: No Way Home will be returning to cinemas for an exclusive re-release. The new version, titled Spider-Man: No Way Home: The More Fun Stuff Version, will swing into US and Canadian cinemas from September 2. Marvel has promised announcements on the way – meaning those living outside of the US and Canada may soon get to see the extended version of the film.

The More Fun Stuff Version will add more than fifteen minutes to the film’s original runtime of 148 minutes – and this makes it roughly as long as Avengers: Endgame. There’s even a breakdown of the extended scenes, as seen in the post below. One particular scene will grab the attention of any Daredevil fans: Happy’s Very Good Lawyer, which implies there’ll be at an additional minute and a half of material for Matt Murdock, who reprised his role for a small cameo in the film.

The More Fun Stuff Version includes more than four minutes – yes, more than four, of the three Spider-Men on screen together. The film has extended the interrogation scene toward the beginning of the film by more than two minutes, a surplus of five minutes of material at Midtown High. The More Fun Stuff Version tacks on ninety seconds of stuff from the Undercroft at the New York Sanctum Sanctorum.

Tickets for Spider-Man: No Way Home: The More Fun Stuff Version go on sale from Tuesday, August 9. Spider-Man: No Way Home picks up following the events of Spider-Man: Far From Home. With Peter’s identity revealed to the world, he seeks Doctor Strange’s help to use magic to make everyone forget.

After the spell goes wrong, the multiverse is opened, with villains from other universes coming through to Peter’s universe. These include Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), and Electro (Jamie Foxx). To level the playing field – Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire’s versions of Spidey drop by too.
