Spider-Man 3 Has Been Given An Official Title

Spider-Man 3 has an official title. Spider-Man: No Way Home will be the third film following Spider-Man: Far From Home and Spider-Man: Homecoming within Phase 4 of the MCU. In a short trailer, the title’s reveal featured Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon leaving the director’s office, (Jon Watts), where the three talk about Holland spoiling things. “Name me one thing I’ve actually spoiled,” Holland asks his co-stars.

“The last movie title?” Zendaya responds as the camera pans away from the actors to reveal the movie title on a whiteboard. Other title suggestions can be seen scribbled around the board, including Far From Home crossed out, Welcome Home, No Place Like Home, and Home Alone. There’s even one suggestion that reads, Work From Home.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is reportedly going to be a prequel to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, with the film’s titular hero, Doctor Strange, (Benedict Cumberbatch), reprising his role in No Way Home. The film’s story will likely share a connection to the multiverse, after it was confirmed that Jamie Foxx and Alfred Molina would be making appearances in their former roles, Electro, (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), and Doc Ock, (the classic Spider-Man 2 of the Sam Raimi Trilogy).

As previously reported, Holland confirmed that filming for Spider-Man 3 had begun. Also known for his role in The Devil All The Time, Holland will be further starring as a young Nathan Drake in the film adaptation of Uncharteddelayed until February 11, 2022.

In other MCU news, Thor: Love and Thunder, the fourth film in the series, started filming last month, as set photos revealed Chris Hemsworth, Chris Pratt, and Sean Gunn in costume. Phase 4 will include Black WidowShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder
