Tobin Bell will reprise his villainous role as John Kramer in the upcoming Saw 11 (stylised XI). Having previously appeared in the first seven films of the Saw franchise, Bell, 82, made a full return to the franchise in Saw X (2023), and is now preparing to take on the character again in Saw XI.
In an interview with LA Times (from a story by GamesRadar), Bell said he was “really excited about continuing to develop” the serial killer character, who had originally been killed off in Saw III. Teasing the upcoming sequel, Bell said the character of Kramer was “not done. There’s more to learn.”
Saw XI will arrive in cinemas on September 26, 2025, following a delay that would have seen the film arrive on September 27, 2024. In a report by Deadline, the delay was implemented to make the film “perfect.”

The director behind the latest offering in the Saw series, Kevin Greutert, recently teased “surprises” with new Saw films in the years to come.
“It’s not about knowing or remembering anything about the previous films. It’s a richer experience if you know about Saw because otherwise you won’t necessarily know who Amanda is when she appears, but it’s very clear from the beginning what’s happening,” Greutert added.
Saw X features the return of the long-standing character Amanda Young (Shawnee Smith), who appeared in the first three Saw films and Saw VI, Synnøve Macody Lund, Steven Brand, Renata Vaca, and Michael Beach. Plus, who could forget Billy the Puppet, the mechanical ventriloquist designed by Kramer and a centrepiece of the Saw franchise?
