Rick and Morty Season 7 Drops Trailer – Voice Actors Kept Secret

A new trailer for Rick and Morty Season 7 has landed, and for the first time, we can hear the voices of the titular characters in action – following Justin Roiland’s exit from the series. However, in an unusual move from Adult Swim, the network has chosen to keep the identities of the voice actors (not actor), a secret until the release date on October 15. As confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Rick and Morty will be voiced by two people.

Instead, we’re treated to a 90-second trailer (supported by Motörhead’s ‘Ace of Spades’) of more animated, multiverse-themed shenanigans. We have Rick transforming himself into a walking (more like hopping), and talking leg, his famous spaghetti, new adventures with Gearhead and Birdperson, and a man mowing his grass.

Watch the trailer below.

We have more therapy sessions with Dr. Wong, Rick as a hologram, mind-wipes, Space Beth, Jerry and his “rake” situation, Ice T, and most interestingly, Rick C-137’s discovery of Rick Prime, the version of himself who killed his wife and daughter.

“We want the show to speak for itself,” an insider with Adult Swim explained. “We believe in the strength of the season and our new voices and we want to preserve the viewing experience for fans.”

Justin Roiland stepped down from the series following domestic abuse charges earlier in the year. The case against the voice actor was later dropped. Seasons 1-6 of Rick and Morty are available on Netflix in the UK. The series stars Dan Harmon, Spencer Grammer, Chris Parnell, Sarah Chalke and Kari Wahlgren.
