Original story: FlickLuster reported on August 23 that Series 14 of Doctor Who would land on television screens from Spring 2024. However, the BBC has amended a statement, suggesting they accidentally revealed the date early or became the subject of a leak. The following is what we now know.
Update: Doctor Who might not be returning in Spring 2024. Information concerning the 2023 Christmas Special is unaffected, so we can still expect Ncuti Gatwa to make his debut at an undisclosed date in December. However, the Spring 2024 release window is now absent from the BBC Cultures Page, as noted by GamesRadar. In our original story at FlickLuster, the BBC site was referenced for the release date.
As cited by The Radio Times, there is absolutely no mention of the words Spring or 2024 on the BBC site. Whether this means we will see Ncuti Gatwa’s first series of Doctor Who in the Spring remains to be seen, but we still have four episodes leading into Christmas to look forward to.
We will update this story as and when the BBC makes an official word on the series. Should Spring 2024 go ahead after all, we can expect eight brand-new episodes featuring the Fifteenth Doctor, who’ll be joined in the TARDIS by Millie Gibson’s Ruby Sunday, seen in pictures above.
FlickLuster recently reported that four brand-new additions to the cast would be appearing in the Christmas special. Doctor Who can be streamed via the BBC iPlayer, with classic episodes on Britbox.
