Marvel has reshuffled multiple television shows – with What If…? Agatha: Coven of Chaos (retitled Agatha: Darkhold Diaries) and Echo caught in the reworked schedule (H/T The Hollywood Reporter for the story).
The second seasons of Loki and What If…? are the only shows expected to debut during the remainder of 2023. The God of Mischief will be back on October 6, 2023.
What If…? is expected to land on the platform around Christmas 2023. The animated anthology series explores the multiverse of the MCU and how significant events from the franchise would look in alternate timelines.
With Jeffrey Wright (The Last Of Us Part II) set to reprise his role as The Watcher. The Jeremy-Renner-fronted series, Hawkeye introduced the character of Echo into the MCU.
The self-titled spin-off will feature the first deaf superhero, played by Alaqua Cox, who returns to her homestead in Oklahoma to face the ghosts of her past. Daredevil and Kingpin are expected to make appearances in the series. Echo has been pushed back to January 2024 from November 29, 2023.
X-Men 97, an animated sequel and spiritual successor to the original 1990s series on Fox, had been allocated a release date in late 2023 but will now debut sometime in early 2024. A second season is reportedly in development.
Kathryn Hahn will reprise her role as fan-favourite Agatha in the recently retitled Agatha: Darkhold Diaries (formerly Agatha: Coven of Chaos and Agatha: House of Harkness) after winning the hearts and minds of Wandavision audiences. The spin-off has been allocated a release date of mid-to-late 2024.
Ironheart, a spin-off starring Dominique Thorne as inventor Riri Williams (introduced in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever), wrapped filming but has no release window.
The same can be said for Daredevil: Born Again and Wonder Man. Both paused mid-production amid the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes.
