New footage for Loki Season 2 has been revealed, and the God of Mischief is having a rough time of it. “What I’m about to tell you is going to be hard to believe,” Hiddleston’s titular character says as the world around him goes all glitchy. “I’ve been pulled through time, between the past and the present and the future.”
“Everything is turning to sh…” Sylvie proclaims angrily in one scene. The Princess of Asgard and the God of Mischief are seen teaming up again in a fight against new adversaries. Our heroes combine their powers to unleash a wave of energy on a group of bad guys and insists Loki not “overthink it.”
We see Victor Timely doing some dastardly things at what looks like the Midway Plaisance fair in 1893 Chicago, first teased during a mid-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. You can watch the full trailer at the link below.
In other clips, Gugu Mbatha-Raw is packing a deadly looking weapon, and Ke Huy Juan, who plays Ouroboros, has an appalled expression, neatly cutting over Sylvie’s s-bomb.
Loki Season 2 begins streaming on Disney+ on October 6, 2023, and the first season is available for those of you (me included) who require a timely refresher before the new season begins (see what I did there?).
Alongside Hiddleston, Loki further stars Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, with Jonathan Majors, Ke Huy Quan, and Owen Wilson.
In other Marvel-related news, a book explaining the entire MCU Timeline is set to go on sale.
