Lady Sif Will Be Back For Thor: Love and Thunder

Jaimie Alexander will reprise her role as Lady Sif in Thor: Love and Thunder, according to a recent report by Deadline. Alexander last appeared within the MCU during Thor: The Dark World, with scheduling conflicts leaving her absent from its sequel, Thor: Ragnarok

In the meantime, Alexander made appearances in Agents of SHIELD and a recurring role in NBC’s Blindspot. There’s some speculation that Alexander may also appear in the Disney+ spin-off, Loki

Alexander will be joining Chris Hemsworth in Thor 4, alongside Guardians of the Galaxy’s Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord and Natalie Portman, whose last appearance was during Thor: The Dark World. A recent Instagram post from the film’s director, Taika Waititi, further suggests that Idris Elba’s Heimdall (who met his demise in the opening moments of Avengers: Infinity War) may return for Love and Thunder

Portman will play Mighty Thor, otherwise known as the Goddess of Thunder for the fourth installment.

Regarding the new film, Waititi recently said: ”I think it’s going to be really good. We’ve finished, we’ve been writing the script off and on for over a year and I’m just, actually this week, doing another pass on it. It is so insane and it’s also very romantic.”

In January 2021, Thor: Love and Thunder is due to begin filming in Australia. The film is slated for release in May 2022, before closing out Phase 4 of the MCU. The fourth phase will include Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, the untitled Spider-Man 3 sequel, and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Marvel recently revealed an exclusive trailer for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, a six-part series exclusive to Disney+ following the events of Avengers: Endgame, as Bucky Barnes and Sam Falcon join forces and fight to continue the legacy left behind by Captain America.
