Joker: Folie à Deux is expected to land on digital streaming platforms on October 29, less than a month after the sequel started its theatrical run (per Variety), and four days after the release of Venom: The Last Dance.
The digital release date follows a dismal theatrical run in under a month, with damaging box office numbers projected upwards of $200 million.
The film focuses on Arthur Fleck amid his murder trial and takes an unconventional approach by adding a musical theme into the story, effectively alienating the fanbase who’d expected a follow-up more in line with the dark tone of the first.

The sequel has been the subject of poor critical reception and is considered a box office bomb, compared to the first Joker, which secured two Oscars and for a time, was the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
Folie à Deux joins a list of other underperforming superhero entries, including Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom ($433,845,564), and The Marvels, the lowest-grossing MCU film ($199,706, 250 – with figures accumulated by The Numbers).
Joker: Folie à Deux stars Joaquin Phoenix, Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Zazie Beetz, Harry Lawtey, and Steve Coogan.
