A Jak and Daxter film is reportedly in the works, with Tom Holland and Chris Pratt linked to star in the adaptation. The theory was shared on social media by an industry insider MyTimeToShineHello (as noted by Eurogamer), who suggested Holland was in the running for the role of Jak, with Pratt being “eyed” to portray a live-action version of Daxter.
MyTimeToShineHello added that the Jak and Daxter film, a production by Sony, would be directed by Ruben Fleischer, known for his work on Uncharted and Venom, the former starring Tom Holland as Nathan Drake.
During the promotional run for Uncharted last year, Ruben Fleischer told Digital Trends that he was “actually working” on a silver-screen adaptation of “Jak and Daxter, a version of that, for PlayStation, which I think would be really cool to bring to life.”

Considering the Naughty Dog connection between Uncharted and the Jak and Daxter universes, a link with Fleischer would make sense. MyTimeToShineHello also recently revealed there would be “a good chance Taika Waititi” would return for Thor 5 but added that it was “NOT a done deal.”
Pratt has dabbled in voice work for animated adaptations, chief among which the highly-successful The Super Mario Bros. Movie alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black and Charles Martinet (the original voice of Mario).
Should a second Uncharted film enter production after Sony confirmed they were “definitely looking to make another” sequel, Holland’s future in video game adaptations, paired with a potential Jak and Daxter, looks bright.
