If you cast your mind back to September 28, 2022, you’ll be able to find this story published by FlickLuster – Ryan Reynolds sharing an announcement to fans that Hugh Jackman would return for Deadpool and Wolverine. Now, more than two years later, the actors have reunited to recreate a parody of their announcement teaser, but this time, with a twist (sadly, no news of another movie).
Instead, Jackman is promoting his upcoming 12-show residency at Radio City Music Hall in the New Year. The series, titled “From New York, With Love,” launches on January 24 2025, featuring the two-time Tony winner.
In the footage, seen below, Jackman shared the news via Instagram on the same couch in the same house featured in their Deadpool 3 teaser. Jackman reflected on returning to the MCU as Wolverine, describing the “great adventures” with Reynolds as “the time of my life.”
Jackman then ponders what he’ll do next. Reynolds crosses the hallway and walks up the stairs, in much the same way Jackman did two years ago, before Jackman asks him. “Hey Ryan? You wanna come to one of my live performances at Radio City Music Hall?”

Under the impression that he’ll be a part of the show, Reynolds agrees, and promises to “break out the eyeliner” while Jackman shakes his head and mouthes the word “no.”
A title card for the show flashes up on screen before the two actors sit together on the couch and discuss the show. However, loud choral music blocks out everything they say as they make wild arm gestures and manic facial expressions. As the sound returns, Reynolds is left disappointed from being left out of the show.
Deadpool and Wolverine stars Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Emma Corrin, Matthew Macfadyen, Dafne Keen, Jennifer Garner, Wesley Snipes, Chris Evans, and Channing Tatum, and receives a digital release on October 1. The film will arrive on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray, and DVD a few weeks later on October 22.
