Five Years On, A Scrapped Endgame Scene Emerges With Tony Stark

In those packed cinema halls, Marvel fans will all remember the moment Tony Stark snapped his fingers to destroy Thanos and his army and sacrifice himself to save the universe.

Five years later, a newly-released deleted scene from Avengers: Endgame featuring Stark moments after revealing his hand to Thanos (stones at the ready for the snap) has left fans reliving the character-defining moment in a whole new way.

In the scene, which you can watch below, Stark snaps his fingers and meets an adult Morgan (played by Katherine Langford) in limbo, known in the title as theWaystation.”

“Hey,Morgan says as Stark turns to face her. Initially confused, he realises she is, in fact, his daughter. It worked?he asks her, holding her hands, as Morgan says:Yeah, it worked for me, I got to live and grow up. For you, I can’t answer.”

An emotional Stark fears that he may havemade a bad decisionas Morgan reveals her pride for her father.I’m strong like mum, and I’m happy, I’m happy we had the time we did, and that you were there for me until you couldn’t be.”

“If you’re happy, I’m happy, says Stark as they embrace. After Morgan tells him she loves him, his reply is sure to leave fans with a knot in their throat as he replies candidly:I love you three thousand.”

Audience responses are predictably surprised, as one writes:It’s been 5 years and I have never seen this until now, but glad it was cut but I still would of been an emotional wreck watching this.”

“Cool scene but didn’t like his dialogue of reluctance, maybe why they cut it,another user writes in defence of why the scene was left on the cutting room floor.
