As Doctor Who celebrated its 59th-anniversary yesterday (November 23), the long-running sci-fi show’s logo received a special makeover to mark the milestone. Thanks to a story from The Radio Times, the diamond-inspired logo, seen further below, serves as a throwback to Tom Baker’s era.
“This #DoctorWhoDay we’re celebrating the past, the present and the future,” a tweet shared on Doctor Who’s official Twitter page reads. “Here’s your first look at a special #DoctorWho logo to celebrate the show’s diamond anniversary next year in 2023.”
In celebration of the milestone, CharacterToysUK unveiled two exclusive figurines from the Regeneration Set. The two figurines feature Jodie Whittaker’s Thirteenth Doctor in a multi-Doctor outfit seen during her recent finale and David Tennant’s revised Tenth Doctor attire as he reprises his role in the series as the Fourteenth Doctor. These can be seen further below.

Last week, during Children of Need, it was confirmed that Millie Gibson would star alongside Ncuti Gatwa in the TARDIS as the Time Lord’s new companion. Her lead co-star described her as “full of talent, strength, she has a cheeky sparkle in her eye and is sharp as a razor.”
Russell T. Davies hailed the actress as “brilliant, dynamic, clever and a wonderful actor.”
Doctor Who returns to our televisions in November 2023 for three special episodes to make the 60th anniversary.
