Traditionally, these reports begin with the announcement that a new film or TV series has a brand-new trailer. However – in this instance, there’s no trailer. Instead – we’ll create a word picture for you. For now – let’s discuss what was revealed during a panel for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania at San-Diego Comic Con 2022.
The third film in the Ant-Man series starring Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly and the first film in Phase 5 of the MCU was officially unveiled in exclusive footage at SDCC. Courtesy of a story from Gamesradar, and details shared by a report from Marvel, the trailer shown at the event opens with Scott Lang (Rudd). He’s sat in a book shop surrounded by kids in cosplay, plugging his new book, “Look Out for the Little Guy.” One of the kids in attendance winks at him.
Another scene reveals Scott, his daughter Cassie, Hope, Janet, and Hank Pym at a dinner table. Scott suggests they should be grateful for saving them from Thanos’ snap – and Hank doesn’t appear to be impressed. In the next scene of the trailer – footage reveals a strange device right before Cassie is drawn into the Quantum Realm.
Janet leads the others into the Quantum Realm and discovers an alien city. Plus, Bill Murray makes an appearance – a would-be king figure with a romantic connection to Janet’s past. The trailer culminates with a dramatic voiceover – a familiar voice, and the trailer reveals Jonathan Majors, who reprises his role from Loki as Kang.
Kevin Feige further confirms that MODOK will appear in the film – after the creature was spotted in the teaser. Sadly – we’ve nothing visual to accommodate this report – but rest assured, once the trailer drops – we’ll drop back in to report it.
