Dame Helen Mirren will return to the Fast and Furious franchise – as new photos reveal the 76-year-old actress with Vin Diesel filming on set. Courtesy of a report from Digital Spy, Mirren, who plays Magdalene ‘Queenie’ Shaw in the long-running racing franchise, was spotted filming alongside the lead star Vin Diesel at the Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome.
Best known for her roles inĀ The Long Good Friday, theĀ RedĀ series, andĀ The Queen, Mirren stars as the criminal mastermind and matriarch of the Shaw family, mother to Deckard, Luke, and Hattie Shaw, appearing inĀ The Fate of the FuriousĀ (2017),Ā Hobbs & Shaw (2019), and last yearāsĀ F9: The Fast Saga.
As previously reported by GameLuster, Chris āLudacrisā Bridges, who plays Tej Parker, suggested the franchise could continue after the upcoming tenth and two-parter film. āAll great things come to an end,ā Bridges said about the conclusion to theĀ FastĀ series. āBut that doesnāt mean itās gone forever, right? Look atĀ Jurassic Park.Ā That ended.ā he continued. āBut they reinvigorated it in another way. So I hope theĀ FastĀ franchise will live on forever.āĀ
