The arrival of Adam Warlock was teased in the post-credits scene of Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, which featured antagonist High Priestess Ayesha (played by Elizabeth Debicki) revealing that she had created an artificial being called Adam, which she intends to use to destroy the Guardians.
Typically in the comics, Adam Warlock is a protagonist or anti-hero, but on the rare occasion is a villain. With this in mind, it appears that the MCU will be following the latter route for the third Guardians film.
Poulter, known for his roles in The Maze Runner series, The Revenant, and We’re The Millers, will be stepping into the boots of Warlock for the third Guardians Of The Galaxy film, which is due to be released in 2023.
So how powerful is Adam Warlock? The Warlock version actually has the soul gem attached to his head, which amongst other powers, means he can’t technically die as Death cannot claim him. Aside from this, Warlock’s powers include superhuman strength, agility, energy projection, flight, and teleportation.
