The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Is The Biggest Premiere On AMC+

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is the biggest premiere on AMC+. The Parisian spin-off is on a further course to becoming the most-viewed season of any television show on the streamer.

Episode 4 of the spin-off hit a total viewership of 1.1 million viewers in the Nielsen Live+3 ratings. The episode reached 392,000 in a demographic of adults aged between 25-54.

“What a thrill to have this most recent installment in ‘The Walking Dead’ Universe arrive to set records on AMC+ and deliver steady viewership growth over its first four weeks on AMC,” Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks shared (H/T Variety).

He praised lead star Norman Reedus “for bringing his ‘bad decisions’ to France, to David Zabel, Scott M. Gimple, Clémence Poésy and the rest of the outstanding cast and to the most passionate and committed fans in entertainment. There is so much more and so many great surprises to come for this show and across this expanding universe.”

Critical opinion from fans has been overwhelmingly positive for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, supporting the spike in ratings. “Let me put it to you this way; TWD Dead City was about as good as the best seasons of the original show. It was high quality TWD. Daryl Dixon show goes a notch above that. If it manages to stay that way, TWD has officially resurrected into a new generation,” one fan said.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is available on AMC and AMC+. The series stars Norman Reedus, Melissa McBride, Clémence Poésy, Adam Nagaitis, Romain Levi, Laika Blanc Francard, Anne Charrier, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, and Eriq Ebouaney.
