Stranger Things Season 5: Director Reveals BTS Photos

A series of photos from the sets of Stranger Things Season 5 have been revealed by director Shawn Levy, who returns to the world of Hawkins for the swansong season.

The fifth season of the Netflix drama, starring Millie Bobby Brown, Winona Ryder, and David Harbour,  is currently deep into production, with Levy, the director responsible for the box office smash Deadpool & Wolverine, sharing a series of behind-the-scenes photos to tease fans of what they can expect.

In the first of five pictures uploaded to his Instagram (via a story from ComicBook), we can see Finn Wolfhard and Maya Hawke (who play Mike Wheeler and Robin Buckley respectively), talking between takes against a blue screen.

In another, Levy is pictured directing to the cast; a third shows a shadow against a wall and laboratory equipment, while the final two depict lighting rigs inside a woodland and a director’s chair with the Stranger Things 5 logo emblazoned on the back.

Plot details and release date are under wraps, but 2025 would make sense with production underway. Close to a year later, Stranger Things Season 5 resumed production following the conclusion of the industry strikes.

Stranger Things further stars Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton. The first four seasons of Stranger Things can be streamed in the UK via Netflix.
