Stranger Things Actor On The Show’s End And What’s Next

With Stranger Things Season 5 still in production, fans will be waiting quite some time for the swansong chapter of the sci-fi saga to broadcast. As the fifth run of the show, first launching on Netflix in 2016, ties together storylines set in motion almost ten years ago, Gaten Matarazzo, who plays fan-favourite Dustin, has suggested he’d be interested in making a return while adding that the final season will wrap up his character arc.

In an interview with The Radio Times, Matarazzo said the final season would act as abookend. I think it will wrap up really nicely. And I don’t think Matt Ross will want to approach anything like that for a long time. So if you were to ask me a year from now if I wanted to come back, I’d probably be like,I’m gonna do some other stuff for a bit initially’, but who knows what it’s going to be like.”

The actor expressed his interest in reprising the role if there were to be acontinuationof his character, and if any of the other cast membersmake it up to that point.”

“I would love to see what would happen, what Dustin would be like as a 30-year-old. And I would love to see at tackling that, it could be a lot of fun,Matarazzo added.

I’d be interested in seeing what their concept would be, but yeah, I’m absolutely open to anything. If it’s good and it’s exciting and other people are excited about doing it, absolutely. I would like to branch off and do some other stuff initially, I think for the next few years at least.”

Stranger Things further stars Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, and Charlie Heaton. The first four seasons of Stranger Things can be streamed in the UK via Netflix.
