Rick and Morty Season 6 Trailer Is One For The Die Hards

A brand-new, and longer trailer for Rick and Morty Season 6 has arrived – and it’s time to “do a die hard.” The trailer’s description further promises that this season will be one the fans will enjoy – echoing co-creator Justin Roiland’s recent comments that while “ I didn’t particularly think Season 5 was bad, but Season 6 is f*cking amazing. It really is a f*cking quality season.”

The full-length trailer (compared to the short 30-second promo) packs a lot in a short amount of time – and promises to be an explosive season. Considering where Season 5 left off, the universe appears to be intact. No sign of it ending yet. Plus – no sign of Evil Morty. However, the trailer does bring back Space Beth – a clone of Rick’s daughter he’d created in Season 3.

Rick and Summer return to fight a “small group of alien terrorists” at Blips and Chitz, an intergalactic arcade first seen in Season 2. Most notably, we can see the virtual reality arcade game “Roy: A Life Well Lived.”

At the same time, the scene establishes that Summer, at the age of 17, has not seen Die Hard. Good to know – and moving on. Summer is also growing Wolverine claws, and with Rick producing an arsenal of alien weaponry and gadgetry from every part of his body – the trailer is filled with car chases, space battles, and Rick’s ship exploding.

Elsewhere, Jerry is being used as a human shield, and Rick and Morty are hosting a podcast. Looks like it’ll be an absolute riot of a season. Rick and Morty Season 6 premieres on Adult Swim on Sunday, September 4 at 11 p.m ET/PT.

Created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, Rick and Morty stars Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell, Spencer Grammer, and Kari Wahlgren, with notable voice cameos from Nolan North, Tom Kenny, Keith David, Nathan Fillion, Patton Oswalt, and Matthew Broderick (the talking cat in Florida).
