Peaky Blinders Film: Marvel’s Tim Roth Joins Cast

Tim Roth has joined the cast of the upcoming Peaky Blinders film. Scheduled to launch on Netflix and set in World War 2, the film serves as a continuation to the crime drama following its conclusion in 2022. Roth, 63, gained recognition in the 1990s for his frequent collaborations alongside Quentin Tarantino. He featured in his directorial debut Reservoir Dogs and cult follow-up Pulp Fiction, before featuring, most recently, in Tarantino’s lengthy, Western epic, The Hateful Eight.

Elsewhere, Roth is recognised for roles in Lie to Me and the underrated Sky Atlantic crime drama Tin Star. He is perhaps recognised to a wider audience for his role as Emil Blonsky in the MCU, otherwise known as Abomination, in The Incredible Hulk before reprising his role in the She-Hulk series.

The details of his character in the film remain a secret at this stage, but Roth will join Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer), who returns as gangster Tommy Shelby. Barry Keoghan, another Marvel actor known for his work on Eternals, and Rebecca Ferguson, of Dune and Mission Impossible fame, were recently announced to join the cast.

The original Peaky Blinders cast featured the likes of the late Helen McCrory, Joe Cole, Annabelle Wallis, Paul Anderson, Tom Hardy, Finn Cole, Sophie Rundle, and Sam Claflin. The crime drama ran on the BBC between 2013 to 2022 for six series.
