Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson First Look For Doctor Who Christmas Special

Good news on to all Whovians out there.

The first official images of Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson as the Fifteenth Doctor and Ruby Sunday have been revealed to the world – showing the two characters in action for the forthcoming Christmas Day special, titled “The Church on Ruby Road” (courtesy of a story from The Radio Times).

In the first picture, Ncuti and Millie are caught in the classic backs-to-the-wall adventure pose. Ncuti looks thrilled, as all Doctors tend to, while Millie appears surprised. Logically, it would seem the two characters have stumbled into a spot of bother. In the second picture, Ncuti cuts a striking pose in the snow, observing something, or perhaps someone, unseen in the photo. We can see Christmas lights and what might be a shopping centre in the background. Come Christmas Day, all will be revealed.

After appearing on BBC’s Morning Live programme, returning showrunner Russell T Davies teased a “really exciting” Christmas special. He described it as “thrilling, it’s explosive, it’s brilliant. You’ve seen Ncuti in Sex Education, he is just the most phenomenal human being. Christmas Day is a new start again, come and join a brand new adventure.”
