With David Tennant and Catherine Tate reprising their roles in the 60th-anniversary specials (The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder and The Giggle) next month, the sci-fi series will be hosting a special fourteen-hour marathon (fitting since Tennant will be back as the Fourteenth incarnation), of Doctor Who adventures from the Doctor-Donna era. A schedule of the day will be announced closer to the time, but we can likely expect The Runaway Bride, Donna’s first story in the series, to open proceedings.
The event is expected to be held at the Genesis Cinema in London on November 4, 2023, beginning at 9:45am and streaming simultaneously on the BBC iPlayer and other streaming services globally – including Australia and New Zealand, Canada, China, Japan, and the United States.
Breaks are factored in, but it’ll be a long day (not that those attending should complain). It means those lucky to receive tickets in a random draw (enter here) can watch some of the Doctor and Donna’s most iconic adventures on the silver screen.
The draw closes on October 11, 2023 at 23:59, so if you want to be in with a chance to claim tickets, enter the contest today, you’ve six days left. The event will also be the perfect refresher before the 60th-anniversary episodes debut on our screens.
All twelve series of the revived Doctor Who era can be streamed via the BBC iPlayer, with classic serials on Britbox. Can Kylie Minogue make a comeback to Doctor Who, and what are you most excited to see from the future of the series?
