Charlize Theron has teased her return to Fast and Furious 10 — and she has a new hairdo. The tenth film in the franchise, stylised as Fast X, will feature the return of Theron’s cyber hacker Cipher, and her hairstyles continue to change with each film.
The Fury Road actress unveiled the new look in a couple of photos through her Instagram. Theron can be seen posing with two heavily armed soldiers crumpled at her feet. On the other, she prepares to get into character as crew members are busy around her. There are few clues to indicate any plot details surrounding the film, but the second photo teases electronic equipment of some sort. So, there’s little doubt that Cipher will continue her cyber hacking ways.
“She’s back, baby,” Theron captions the two black and white stills. Theron, an Oscar winner for the 2003 film Monster, was introduced to the Fast franchise in The Fate and the Furious with dreadlocks and sported a short crop with bangs in F9 last year.
Flickluster recently reported that Fast X had entered production, serving as the first of two parts to close out the series. Fast 10 Part 1 is due for release in UK and US cinemas on May 19, 2023, with Part 2 rumoured for release sometime in 2024. While the flagship series will soon race across the finish line, there’s every opportunity for the Fast cinematic universe to expand with spin-offs, prequels, and more.
Fast X will star Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sung Kang, and Nathalie Emmanuel, including newcomers Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones), Brie Larson (Captain Marvel), and Daniela Melchior (The Suicide Squad) who will also be joining the fast family.
