Better Call Saul Season 6 Teases Saul Goodman’s Evolution

Better Call Saul Season 6 has a new teaser – and Tony Dalton’s Lalo Salamanca is suited and booted for the show’s swansong season. It’s short and sweet at less than forty seconds, but much like the official trailer released last month, the final season of the Breaking Bad spin-off is one not to be missed. If we dive in and dissect the teaser, Tony Dalton appears dapper in a suit as cartel member Lalo Salamanca.

He’s a man out for revenge after the botched assassination attempt on his life wiped out his entire family. He was absent for the most part during the official trailer, but he can be further seen tending his wounds, likely from the shootout.

Meanwhile, Bob Odenkirk’s titular Saul Goodman is making strides as a criminal lawyer, working with an assortment of colourful criminal types. Because of his affiliation with Lalo Salamanca, it’s apparent that Slippin’ Jimmy McGill’s transformation into a fully-fledged criminal lawyer is complete.

It further signifies that Better Call Saul is closing in on the timeline toward Breaking Bad. Odenkirk’s lawyer can be seen entering Day Spa and Nail with the owner Mrs. Nguyen, remonstrating about violence to someone, while Nacho looks uneasy as he takes a phone call. Speaking of which, Michael Mando’s Nacho is a man on the run from the Salamanca Estate after actively assisting in the assassination attempt on Lalo’s life.

Flickluster reported earlier this week that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul would reprise their roles as Walter White and Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad for the final season of Better Call Saul. Here’s hoping that Badger and Skinny Pete, considered the two best hitmen west of the Mississippi will make an appearance.

Better Call Saul debuts on AMC on April 18, starring Bob Odenkirk, Rhea Seehorn, Jonathan Banks, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando, Tony Dalton, and Giancarlo Esposito.
