Better Call Saul Season 6 Teaser Hints To April Release Date

AMC has revealed the first teaser for Better Call Saul’s sixth and final season, and it features the Salamanca Twins, otherwise known as the Cousins. They can be seen coolly walking onto a crime scene with a complete disregard for the investigators around them, while the clip is captioned with “Mark Your Calendar”.

A release date has yet to be confirmed by AMC, but a leading fan theory suggests that the crime scene markers, displaying a D and R. D is the fourth letter of the alphabet, while R is the 18th, leading many to suspect that the sixth season will premiere on April 18. Supporting the theory, April 18 will land on a Monday, echoing the show’s airing schedule in previous years.

As for the teaser itself, the crime scene in question is the Salamanca Estate in Chihuahua, Mexico, the setting for a tense and deadly showdown during the show’s fifth season finale. On orders from Gus Fring, professional assassins entered the estate at night and killed Halo’s entire family.

In retaliation, Lalo killed the assassins, sparing one to deliver a message to those who ordered the hit. In the final moments of the episode, upon learning that Michael Mando’s Nacho Varga was involved in the assassination and had betrayed him, Lalo sets out from the estate with revenge on his mind.

Last year, Bob Odenkirk, who plays Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman, teased the fate of his post-Walter White alter-ego, Gene Takovic, going into the show’s farewell season. “You’re going to see a lot of insanity, as the wheels come off the cart.” Odenkirk says, adding: “I’d like to think he learned something about how to manage yourself and your inspirations, your drives, in the course of all these adventures, including Breaking Bad,’”

Better Call Saul Season 6 further stars Rhea Seehorn, Jonathan Banks, Patrick Fabian, Michael Mando, Tony Dalton, and Giancarlo Esposito.
