Rick and Morty Season 7 will be coming back in October. The acclaimed Adult Swim animated series will be returning to our screens from October 15 at 11:00PM Eastern on the network, and to hype up the new season, the official Rick and Morty Twitter channel has shared a promo poster parodying a beloved 90’s action flick. āWe ride together. We die together. Weāre buried in the backyard together,ā the post is captioned. You can see the post below.
The quote and poster are inspired by Michael Bayās directorial debut, the first Bad Boys film, while the āburied in the backyardā line alludes to a Season 1 episode of Rick and Morty. Rick, Morty, Summer, and Rick’s ship are featured in the poster stylised after the iconic 1995 action film.
āItās happening,ā Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim, announced in a statement (courtesy of a story fromĀ Deadline). āThanks to the talent of the entire show team, we can all enjoy 10 new episodes that yet again raise the bar for comedy and animation. This season proves that the geniuses at work on Rick and Morty are just getting started.ā
