The cast list for the forthcoming Vision spin-off has been updated (via The Hollywood Reporter) – with Todd Stashwick, reuniting with showrunner Terry Matalas. The former worked alongside Matalas (who recently stepped in to replace Wandavision creator Jac Schaeffer) on the third season of Star Trek: Picard, and will feature with Paul Bettany and James Spader, who reprise their roles as Vision and Ultron, respectively.
Plot details and a release date for the spin-off, which is reportedly set to act as the third and final part of a trilogy – succeeding Wandavision and Agatha All Along, are currently undisclosed. Stashwick, it is understood, will portray an assassin on the hunt for Vision and his technology.
Before his casting in the MCU, Stashwick is best recognised for his role as Starfleet Captain Liam Shaw in Star Trek: Picard. His association with Matalas dates back further than the Star Trek spin-off, as the two had partnered on 12 Monkeys, a series for Syfy inspired by the Terry Gilliam thriller.
Stashwick has other credits including The Originals, the Kim Possible film, The Riches, Supernatural, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Gotham, Mayans M.C., and 9-1-1: Lone Star.
Next up from the MCU is Agatha All Along, an extension to the Wandavision story, featuring the return of Kathryn Hahn as the titular witch. The series stars Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Paul Adelstein, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Okwui Okpokwasili, Debra Jo Rupp, Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza.
Agatha All Along debuts on Disney+ on September 18. In other Marvel news, Dave Bautista said he’d be open to working with the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy and if the right part turned up, a role in the DCU.
