Venom: The Last Dance Trailer Confirms The Big Bad

The final trailer for Venom: The Last Dance is here and puts to bed the months of speculation surrounding the villain Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and his symbiote counterpart will face in the trilogy finale. The latest footage introduces, for only a fleeting moment, none other than Knull, an ancient cosmic god responsible for the creation of the Symbiotes.

As this film marks the final chapter in the Venom trilogy, Marvel fans are holding out hope this won’t be the last we see of Hardy and the symbiote, following a certain post-credits scene in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, which teased the idea of a wider connection to the MCU that might soon be explored.

At the time of its release, Andy Serkis, who directed Let There Be Carnage, teased the link between the MCU and the world Eddie and Venom inhabit.

He told ComicBook in October 2021, that the team “wanted to leave the audience knowing that these universes are going to somehow collide and we wanted to do it in such a way that it still leaves so much open and we’re not timing anything.”

According to an official synopsis from Columbia Pictures (via Variety), “Tom Hardy returns as Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters, for the final film in the trilogy. Eddie and Venom are on the run. Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.”

Venom: The Last Dance further stars Juno Temple, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Peggy Lu, Rhys Ifans, Stephen Graham, Alanna Ubach, and Cristo Fernández. Written and directed by Kelly Marcel, the threequel is scheduled to swing into cinemas on October 25, 2024.
