The Boys Supe College Spin-Off Is In The Works

For those wanting more action from the universe of The Boys, you’re in luck. As confirmed in a recent post by Deadline, The Boys will soon be receiving a spin-off focused on a superhero college.

The project has been in development for some time, written by Craig Rosenberg, the executive producer for The Boys. Following a highly successful launch to the second season of the web series, and the third season of Butcher and his gang of vigilantes having been ordered, the college spin-off has been fast-tracked into production.

According to Deadline, the second season became the most-watched global launch of an Amazon Original series, pulling in higher viewership figures than the first season did (+89%). So far the new spin-off, it has been described as a “part college show, part Hunger Games – with all the heart, satire and raunch of The Boys.”

The spin-off will be set in “America’s only college exclusively for young adult superheroes (and run by Vought International),” and will explore “the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.”

The spin-off will be put together by the same teams behind The Boys, Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television, alongside Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises, and Original Film. Rosenberg is scripting a pilot and will serve as an executive producer/show-runner for the upcoming series.

Eric Kripke and his team of producers, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Pavun Shetty, and Neal H. Moretz will all executive produce.
