The Boys Season 4 Has The Most “Bizarre” Homelander Scene Yet

The speedboat and the whale. A mind-blowing assassin. Timothy the octopus. Plus, who could forget the saucy shenanigans of a superhero sex party? The envelope is pushed further out with each season of The Boys, and Antony Starr, who plays Homelander, has revealed details of a “bizarre” scene for Season 4. Speaking to Variety, Starr teased that the series “somehow gets weirder and weirder and weirder.”

“There has to be a ceiling, but we can’t seem to find it,” the 47-year-old New Zealand actor said. Starr kept spoilers under wraps but disclosed details of an experience on set alongside another unnamed actor. “I was looking at the person I was opposite, and I said, ‘What are we doing? I can’t believe this! I could have done anything else with my life, but here I am doing this?’ It was truly the most bizarre thing I’ve ever done.”

By the close of the Season 3 finale, Starr’s ruthless Homelander had taken his son Ryan under his wing and gained the approval from his devoted followers for unleashing violence on those opposed to him.

The Boys Season 4 has wrapped, while fans await a release date confirmation. Sometime later this year would be a safe bet, and we’ll update the story once we know more.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Kapon, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jensen Ackles, Karen Fukuhara, Dominique McElligott, Simon Pegg, Chace Crawford, Jesse Usher, Colby Minifie, and Giancarlo Esposito. All three seasons are available to watch now on Amazon Prime.

Season 5 of The Boys was confirmed in February.
