The Boys Season 3 has an official trailer – and it promises to be a spectacular season. Billy Butcher is taking his fight against the Supes to a new level as he gains chemically induced superpowers (for twenty-four hours). The trailer depicts Butcher on a laser eye rampage to level the playing field against the supes as Queen Maeve (Dominique McElligott) switches allegiances to work with Butcher in providing the new drug.

In the “year of calm” since Season 2, Billy has been sober from drinking and opted against killing superheroes. Something says it won’t last long. According to the trailer synopsis, Billy is now working for the government and “supervised by Hughie of all people.”

“But both men itch to turn this peace and quiet into blood and bone.” the synopsis continues. So despite appearances, it won’t be long before the series unleashes some liberal doses of blood, gore, and superhero mayhem. Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk) teased that Season 3 would be the bloodiest instalment yet.

“So when The Boys learn of a mysterious anti-Supe weapon, it sends them crashing into The Seven, starting a war, and chasing the legend of the first Superhero: Soldier Boy.”

Season 3 not only promises an over-abundance of superhero-related thrills and bloody spills – but we’ll further see Antony Starr’s deranged Homelander milk a cow. Mother’s Milk is reconnecting with his family at a birthday party, and it’s going great for him. Bodies are falling from Vought Tower while the public cheer for Homelander at rallies. As Hughie (Jack Quaid) joins the FBSA (Federal Bureau of Superhuman Affairs), he’s conflicted in the approach to fighting the supes. Plus, he’s working alongside Victoria Neuman, the head-exploding assassin from Season 2.

The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Erin Moriarity, Antony Starr, Jensen Ackles, Dominique McElligott, Tomer Capon, Chace Crawford, and Karan Fukuhara. The Boys Season 3 debuts on Amazon Prime on June 3. Seasons 1-2 of The Boys are available on Amazon Prime Video.
