The cast list for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 is growing again with the latest announcement of another actor joining the spin-off, as Stephen Merchant (The Office), prepares to make his mark on the apocalypse alongside lead stars Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride.
As the spin-off crosses border lines from France to Spain, Daryl and Carol’s deadly excursion of Europe continues, Merchant is keeping a low profile when it comes to details on the character he’ll play.
“As a fan of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’, I was excited when they asked me to join the [The Walking Dead] universe for season 3. But don’t ask me for spoilers – my lips are sealed,” Merchant wrote on Instagram.
Known for co-creating The Office alongside Ricky Gervais, Merchant secured an Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series in 2006 with the US adaptation of The Office. He has been further nominated for multiple awards connected to The Office US, Hello Ladies, and Lip Sync Battle.
Merchant, more recently, portrayed British serial killer Stephen Port in the BBC series Four Lives, Dave Gibbs in The Big Bang Theory, and Greg Dillard in The Outlaws, the comedy thriller in collaboration with Elgin James.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3 is scheduled to debut on AMC and AMC+ sometime in 2025. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Book of Carol premiered on AMC and AMC+ on September 29 on Sky Max and NOW.
