Harry Styles Reportedly Set For Five-Film-Deal With Marvel

With an ever-growing catalogue of acting roles to add to his resume, Harry Styles looks set to top all that came before in securing a five-movie deal with Marvel. The former One Direction singer made a cameo appearance as Eros/Starfox, Thanos’ brother, during the post-credits scene of Eternals last year. Previously, he appeared in Christopher Nolan’s war-epic Dunkirk in 2017. According to a story from The Daily Mail, initially reported by The Sun, the deal is worth upwards of $100million, which translates to £82m.

A source informed the publication that Marvel Studios are considering Styles for “as many as five projects.” According to the source, the 28-year-old musician-turned-actor has been on Marvel’s radar for almost two years and said: “Not only is he the biggest pop star of the moment, his star is so huge it transcends just film and music.”

They added that Styles has “the midas touch and will be a huge deal bringing in different demographics and showing older comic book fans his talent.” In his case, they described the deal as “enormous. The money on the table for him to appear in a Starfox solo film would be astronomical – pun intended. And of course with each film, the wages rise.”

At this stage – the five-movie deal has yet to be confirmed by Marvel – however, Kevin Feige explained during the panel at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend that Styles would be returning to the series and reprising his role as Eros. Pip, voiced by Patton Oswalt, will return to the MCU in a “cosmic” part of the MCU. “Yes, the adventures of Eros and Pip is something that is very exciting for us,” Feige said.
