Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Gets First Trailer

The first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is here – and there are big things to come. After an exclusive screening at Brazil Comic-Con, footage from James Gunn’s final film in the Guardians franchise finally emerged online for the world to see. The trailer offers Marvel fans a first glimpse at Will Poulter’s bronzed antagonist Adam Warlock and Chukwudi Iwuji’s The High Evolutionary, of Peacemaker fame. You can see the trailer further below.

The Guardians are otherwise up to their usual hijinks, with Drax causing mayhem on other worlds and being told by Quill that he’s not allowed to kill people. We see flashes of Rocket’s origins, who later declares he’s “done running,” before we hear the racoon’s voiceover as he says: “We’ll all fly away together, one last time.”

In an official synopsis from Marvel, the Guardians “are looking a bit different these days. Still reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill must rally his team around him to defend the universe and protect one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 will star Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Sean Gunn, and Sylvester Stallone. Newcomers include the previously mentioned Chukwudi Iwuji, Daniela Melchior, Nico Santos, and Maria Bakalova – who’ll be playing Cosmo the dog, first seen in the recent Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special).

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.3 is scheduled to debut in cinemas on May 5, 2023, so mark the date in your calendars.
