Filming For The Boys Season 4 Begins In Toronto

Production is officially underway for The Boys Season 4 – as the cast and crew confirmed the news with set photos on social media. The stars of the violent superhero drama updated fans of the show on their whereabouts as they travelled to Toronto – where the show will be filmed.

In a snap posted to Karl Urban’s Instagram, who plays the show’s lead Billy Butcher, poses for a picture with Jack Quaid (Hughie), with drinks in hand. To caption the snap, the Dredd and Thor actor said: “Start as you mean to go on! Season 4. Let’s go!!!”

In a shot to the camera for a selfie posted to his own Instagram, Quaid sits on a plane and flips the bird. Chace Crawford (The Deep), Antony Starr (Homelander), and Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko) have all been featured in various pictures with their own announcements for the show’s return.

As reported by FlickLuster, The Boys was renewed for a fourth season in June, and showrunner Eric Kripke said that they were “thrilled to continue Butcher and the Boys’ fight against Homelander and the Seven, as well as comment on the insane world we’re living in.”

The Boys Season 4 recently introduced two original characters to the fourth season – including Valorie Curry, who provided voice and motion capture for Kara in Detroit: Become Human. Susan Heyward will be playing Sister Sage. In response to the news of their casting, and the inclusion of their characters in the series, Kripke said would fans would feel “horrified & a tiny bit nauseous.”

We’d expect nothing less – since we’ve seen speedboats killing whales in Season 2, and The Deep being forced to eat a live octopus whole during Season 3. The Boys stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Kapon, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jensen Ackles, Karen Fukuhara, Dominique McElligott, Simon Pegg, Chace Crawford, Jesse Usher, Colby Minifie, and Giancarlo Esposito. All three seasons are available to watch now on Amazon Prime.
