Daredevil: Deborah Ann Woll Addresses Character’s Future

Deborah Ann Woll, best known for playing Karen Page in Marvel’s Daredevil, says she hasn’t been asked to reprise her role in Daredevil: Born Again, but the actress remains hopeful that Marvel might reach out to her in the future. In an interview on the Inside of You podcast, Woll was quizzed by Michael Rosenbaum (of Smallville fame) whether she had any involvement in the upcoming series. The 37-year-old actress confirmed that Marvel had “not called me yet. So as of now, I am not a part of it.”

“I would be thrilled to get to be a part of it. They know where I am. Like I said, I love the character Karen Page,” the former True Blood star added. “I love telling that story. I feel like I have more to say. But it is up to them what kind of story that they want to tell.”

Daredevil was cancelled in 2018 after only three seasons, and Woll addressed the decision during the podcast. She said the series felt “unfinished to me because we got canceled when we thought we were going to have more. There’s a part of me that was like, ‘I had more to say about Karen,’ and I felt I was in the middle of that story.”

Daredevil: Born Again is an 18-episode series expected to arrive on Disney+ sometime in Spring 2024, with Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio reprising their roles as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Recently, Charlie Cox revealed how he’d believed a phone call from Marvel was a prank.
